Who are WIC kids?
Children in our program generally fall into three categories:

  • Children with correctable medical needs (requiring surgery or special therapies), or with stable conditions that can be easily accommodated.
  • Children who are healthy, but may be at-risk for future developmental or medical issues. At-risk categories include older children, sibling groups, preemies, and children whose birth parents have a history of medical or psychological conditions.
  • Children with serious or life-long issues. These may include developmental, physical or medical needs that require on-going attention.
