Who Can Adopt Minnesota's Waiting Children?
Contact UsGet Started
A wide variety of adoptive parents are needed. You may be older, have a limited income and may or may not own your own home. You must, however, be able to provide a stable life for a child and share your love and commitment knowing the extra challenges you will face. Adopting a waiting child into your home requires flexibility, acceptance and a sense of humor.

Looking for adoptive parents:

  • Single, married or in a committed partnership; if applying as a couple: demonstrated stability of two years or more in your marriage or partnership
  • Committed to adopting a school-age child
  • Ages 25-50 years (average age)
  • With or without parenting experience
