- Married couples under 50 years of age may adopt children in Ukraine.
- Generally, there should be no more than 45 years difference between parents and adopted child.
- Couples should have been married at least one year by the time they receive a child referral.
- Ukraine will not allow the adoption of a child by a gay or lesbian person.
