| Thank you for your interest in adopting from Ukraine through Children's Home Society & Family Services. The Ukraine program opened in January 2007 and is currently a pilot program. Families are encouraged to explore this program.
Children are 24 months and older. The wait time for an invitation to travel is approximately 12 months from the time the dossier was sent to Ukraine. An adoption travel to Ukraine requires two trips: first trip of approximately 2-3 weeks with both parents present and the second trip of 1 week. Only one parent is required on the second trip. The parents also have the option of staying in Ukraine the whole time for a total of 5-6 weeks. One parent may return home after the court hearing.
