Our Domestic Infant Open Adoption Program is open to Minnesota families. For over ten years, we have been facilitating open adoptions.
In an open adoption, birthparents and adoptive parents meet, select each other and agree to an ongoing relationship centered on the best interest of the child.
The benefits of adopting through our program include:
- Most babies are placed as newborns, which facilitates attachment between parent and child,
- Adoptive parents frequently spend time with the baby at the hospital and may even attend the birth,
- Adoptive parents have access to the social/medical history of their child,
- A relationship with the birthfamily gives the child a true sense of who he/she is and where he/she came from.
