Adoption agencies working in Russia must be accredited by the Russian Federation. CHSFS was the first agency in the US to be reaccredited, in June 2007. During the year since we received this non-expiring accreditation, 64 children were placed with families all around the US who adopted through our program. Our Russia program has been active since 1992 and we have long-term, trusting relationships with our Russian staff.
Because Russian adoption law allows regional interpretation, many of the logistics of Russian adoption can vary from region to region. Our staff will select a region for you depending on your priorities and where there is greatest need.
