Adoptive parents are required to travel to Peru and stay for a specific length of time for the adoption which actually takes place in the country. The typical stay in Peru lasts about 25-30 days.

Placement of the child with you will occur after three days of visiting in the orphanage. The interaction between you and your child will be evaluated by a social worker/psychologist.

Your time in Peru will allow you to learn more about your child's country and become familiar with their culture and customs. Our in-country representative will guide you through the logistics of your stay and the legal process.

Our representative will travel with you in the country to complete your adoption and can assist you with side trips to other cities within the country if you desire.  We encourage families to take advantage of waiting times, spending time with your child and time getting to know their home country.
