Pathways to Children - China 2005
pedicab_4
Our second Pathways trip was in 2005 and included visiting several orphanages, a hospital, and assisting in the care of infants and young children. Volunteers received prior training on baby development, too.  They also helped to deliver much needed items such as clothing, blankets and age appropriate child development toys and participated in site improvement projects such as painting a mural.

Here was the travel itinerary for this 2005 trip:

  • September 14-15 - Travel to Beijing China
  • September 16 - Tour Tiananmen Square, Chairman Mao’s Tomb and Forbidden Palace
  • September 17 - Tour the Great Wall
  • September 18 - Travel to Chongqing
  • September 19 - Visit Fengdu Orphanage
  • September 20-23 - Volunteer project at Jiangjin Orphanage
  • September 24 - Tour Ci Qi Kou, an ancient town in Chongqing
  • September 25-28 - Optional Yangtze River Cruise
  • September 29 - Depart Shanghai
