| Children of all ages need permanent, stable, loving families. At any given time in Minnesota, there are hundreds of children in foster care waiting for adoptive homes and/or permanent family connections. The majority are school-aged children and teens who have experienced neglect or abuse. Our Program for Minnesota's Waiting Children (MWC) invites you to become a healing resource for these children by adopting a child or sibling group and providing them with a safe and loving home in which they can be nurtured and encouraged to reach their full potential.
The MWC Program at Children's Home Society & Family Services has helped more than 600 children find permanent adoptive families since the program began in 1980. Since 1998, a contract with the state allows us to provide placement services at no cost to families.
