Mission: To serve vulnerable persons who are expecting major life transitions so that they may become more productive members of our community.

Service Description – Since 1895 Methodist Mission Home has served the needs of young women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy, and provided adoption services to couples who wish to grow their families through adoption.  Over the years, our services have expanded and now include newborn baby domestic adoption, older children adoption through State of Texas Foster Care system, and  international adoption through our partner agency Children’s Home Society and Family Services.

Adoption Services:

§                       Regularly scheduled information meetings for families considering adoption

§                       Individual consultations with families considering adoption

§                       Referrals for post adoption counseling and support groups

§                       Post adoption counseling (therapists/social workers on staff)

Information Meetings:

§                       4th Thursday of each month, 6:30-8:00 PM in San Antonio

Geographic Service Area: The agency serves the entire state of Texas and also work with adoptive parents for the newborn program from any state in the US.
