Mission: Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area will carry out the living and growing Christian Ministry.  We provide services for all children available for adoptive placement, whether domestic or foreign born.

Adoption Services:

• Regularly scheduled information meetings for families considering adoption
• Individual consultations with families considering adoption
• Support group for families in the adoption process

Post Adoption Services:

• Post adoption parent education groups
• Support groups for parents
• Post adoption counseling

Birth Parent Services:

• Birth parents' support groups
• Open adoption counseling
• Pregnancy counseling

Geographical Service Area: Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area covers the entire areas of District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.
