Korsakovo Grounds and Gardens Project
CHSFS project to improve the grounds and gardens at the Korsakovo Children's Home

Help create a safe place for children to enjoy the outdoors!
The children and staff at the Korsakovo Children's Home are learning that dreams can come true.  They are very thankful for the generous people who have helped make their dreams of vocational studios for both the boys and girls as well as a new heating and water supply system become a reality.  Now the children dream of spending more time outdoors.  A girl name Natasha says, "I would like a lot of flowers in our yard, so it would be like a fairy tale."

Besides beautifying the outdoor grounds of the children's home, this project is designed to create a safer environment to play outdoors and provide more opportunities for physical education. The project will fund garden enclosures, arbors, general safety improvements of the grounds, playground equipment, a volleyball court, electric lighting and paved walking paths.

The children that reside at the Korsakovo Children's Home and the children in the surrounding community have limited options for constructive activity.  By creating this outdoor recreational area, the children will be able to engage in physical activity that will improve their overall health and give them a variety of recreational opportunities.
