| We have licensed temporary foster homes that care for infants placed from the hospital. Usually there is only one infant in a home at any time and each baby is treated as a very special individual. Both birthparents and adoptive parents can spend time with the baby while in foster care. Caregivers put together a memory book chronicling the child's first weeks while in their home. All infants in foster care are seen once a month for a medical checkup performed by a pediatrician and nurse at CHSFS where checkups and immunizations are administered.
