How Can I Finance an Adoption?

Financing Your Adoption
Many children in the U.S. and throughout the world need loving families and we wish that adoptions could be completed without any costs to adoptive families. However, assisting you with an adoption involves many expenses and a lot of time, and adoption agencies must charge fees for their services.

Often families who adopt internationally do not have the total amount of money for the adoption costs readily available. The good news is that families from all economic situations do adopt and defray the costs by tapping into a variety of resources and strategies.

CHSFS reduces our fees by $500 for any family adopting a child through our Waiting International Children Program. A few of our partner countries also reduce the international fees on a case-by-case basis when a family accepts a waiting child.
