Ecuador
For His Children, Quito, Ecuador. CHSFS has had a relationship with For His Children for five years. This child welfare agency has been serving the needs of children in Ecuador for 16 years. For His Children provides care for homeless children in a loving and supportive environment; striving to unite them with their biological or adoptive family; and advocating on their behalf to others. Approximately 35% of the children have moderate to severe special needs. They are caring for approximately 70 children, almost all have been abandoned. They receive no support from the Ecuadorian government. However, they do utilize government resources such as community-based health care and legal services. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to provide support for operating expenses.
House of Faith, Shell, Ecuador. This child welfare agency is caring for abandoned and special needs children, providing care in a loving and supportive environment until they can be united with their biological or adoptive family. Funding is needed for general operating expenses as well as medical care. Casa de Fe (House of Faith) has recently embarked on a long-term building project. They are currently caring for 13 children in an existing building. The new facilities will include housing for 80+ children, a house for babies with neo-natal care, therapy pools and guest housing. Our goal is to raise $10,000 for operating support.
Peru
Orphanage Assistance. It is the goal of CHSFS to provide up to $10,000 annually to improve lives of children that remain in their birth country, whether they have the potential for adoption or not. We will seek out and be open to projects and relationships in order to meet this objective. The requests are often made to meet an immediate need, for example a medical need or a response to a disaster.
