| Adopted persons’ experiences and insights about being adopted provide them with the unique opportunity to present their perspectives about the challenges and opportunities adoption offers children and to extend their guidance in preparing, educating and supporting those whose lives are touched by adoption: birth parents, adoptive parents, children who were adopted and the community-at-large.
Possible ways to participate:
- volunteer or intern with our agency
- mentors a youth, work at a summer camp as a counselor, speak on a panel about adoption and volunteer at an event
- share your stories, experiences, and opinions about your adoption experience to prospective and adoptive parents, adoption agencies, and adoption professionals
- Meet and socialize with other adopted adults for dinner once a month.
