Adopted persons’ experiences and insights about being adopted provide them with the unique opportunity to present their perspectives about the challenges and opportunities adoption offers children and to extend their guidance in preparing, educating and supporting those whose lives are touched by adoption: birth parents, adoptive parents, children who were adopted and the community-at-large.

If you are an adopted person interested in searching for a birth relative or in getting background information about your adoption, please click here to go to the Post Adoption Services webpage.

We strongly encourage feedback, comments, and suggestions from adopted persons.  If you live in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia, click here to contact Anna Petrillo or call her at 301-587-7068, ext. 18.  Otherwise, click here to contact our Post Adoption Services department.

Also, contact Post Adoption Services if you wish to subscribe to Apropos, a CHSFS e-newsletter which provides information and news pertinent to adopted persons.
