China - Missing Eye

Life before Eliana* came home was good…  Even though life was very good, it  seemed not quite complete. There was room for one more.

China - Congenital Megacolon

So how does one find perfection in an imperfect world? For me, I think it meant challenging my ideas of what perfection was. What I found was that our daughter was perfect for us. Mee* perfectly completes our family.

Colombia - Spina Bifida

When we thought about adoption, we always assumed we would adopt domestically and that we would get an infant. Well that all changed at our kick off meetings when we fell in love with Angel’s pictures (now known as Michael*).

Ethiopia - Age

We’re not exactly the Brady Bunch, although you might find some similarities in our families. We have six children, 3 boys and 3 girls, and we are a blended family. A blend of ethnicities and colors, a blend of backgrounds and life experiences, but we are a family all the same.

India - Age and Sibling Group

It is now two years after the girls joined our family, and we are all very happy. It has been a wonderful adventure that continues to be tremendously rewarding. The girls do well in school, they have friends, and participate in extracurricular activities.

Korea - Medical Risk

We called many agencies to find the one that we felt would be the best “fit” for us. We already knew we wanted to be part of a waiting program as I was a waiting child in Korea 20 some odd years earlier. After talking with both Jill and Peg at CHSFS we knew we’d found the agency we wanted to work with.
