CHSFS remains committed to making the yearly post placement reports available to birth family members through the nearest regional office of CHSFS or its child welfare service partner, Bethzatha. However, a response from birth family members will not be generated from this communication as such action may be interpreted as an open and ongoing relationship .

It is likely that we will face unique situations in which the needs of the child and family may require the collection of additional information to meet a medical or therapeutic need. In those cases, we will work to obtain necessary information, consulting with U.S. officials where we believe that is needed.

CHSFS will continue to offer educational opportunities to help support parents as they explore ways to effectively communicate their child’s adoption experience and to help their child understand and/or work through their adoption experience. Answering children’s questions and introducing useful tools to support that communication is a role in which CHSFS can be helpful.
