Domestic Infant Program fee: $7,800 (paid in two installments)
The Domestic Infant Program fee of $7,800 for services provided to birthparents and adoptive parents  is paid in two parts. When you are matched with a child, you will pay a one-time fee of $3,000. When the legal risk period has passed, you will be billed the remainder of the Domestic Infant Program fee of $4,800. All fees or pay arrangements must be made prior to finalization.

Finalization fee: $500
Submitted at the time your last court report is due. CHSFS will notify you when this payment is due.

Adoption Study Update Fee: $800
Paid at each annual adoption study update.

Family Home Care: $1,000
Paid only if your child lives temporarily with a CHSFS Family Home Care provider during the legal risk period.

Legal Fees: In domestic infant adoption, use of an attorney at finalization is strongly recommended. In some cases, it may be important to have legal representation before placement. These fees vary, are paid directly to the attorney, and are in addition to fees paid to Children's Home Society & Family Services.

Fees are non-refundable once service has been provided in that area. Clients are responsible for fees that are current when the service in that area is provided. All fees are subject to change.
