Over the years, we’ve worked cooperatively with many U.S. agencies to place children from around the world.  Participating in this larger community has been beneficial for children and families, and has also been very helpful for adoption professionals.  Working together, we can find more families for children in need and become a tighter professional community in which new ideas can prosper.

Please consider some of the resources below when working with your adoptive families. If you’re interested in pursuing a more enhanced relationship with CHSFS, please contact Caitlin Carroll, Kate Ingalls MaloneySue Orban, Azur Walters, or Judi Kloper. Or call us at 800-952-9302.

On-line Seminars for Adoption Professionals
We are excited to announce the 2008-2009 Webinar (on-line seminar) Series for professionals working in adoption!

With Eyes Wide Open: Preparation for International Adoption
WEWO is a self-paced training tool provided, at no charge, to all families adopting through CHSFS. Developed primarily for pre-adoptive families, WEWO has also proven to be very helpful for waiting or new parents as an introduction to the parenting experience.   We highly encourage you to share it with your families.

Preparing Families for Adoption: A Social Worker’s Guide
The 122-page manual offers resources for agencies or individuals helping adoptive families prepare for international adoption.

Adoption Education for Families
We empower families with in-depth adoption education. We prepare families for the ups and downs of the adoption process and for the family’s post-adoption adjustment.  Feel free to share information with your families.
