Adopted children, siblings, and friends are invited to learn about cultures from around the world and talk about growing up adopted during this two-and-a-half day camp program that brings over 100 children and their families together from around the Washington region and beyond. Check back frequently to learn about camp classes (see to the right.)
We will also have special "Parent's Camp" of discussions and workshops available for those parents who wish to attend camp alongside their children. New and waiting parents welcome too!
On Saturday evening after camp is over, members of the Korean Traditional Music Association from Seoul will present a special performance open to the public.
PROGRAMS, HOURS, & FEES [Grade guidelines are for Fall 2009]
HALF DAY Pre-K Program (Age 4 min) $120 8:45-12:00 Th-Fr and 8:45-1:30 Sat
Includes daily snack, t-shirt, bag, materials/instructor fees, and Saturday family lunch social. (Campers should pack lunch Thur & Fri).
K-6 Program (Grades K-6) $165 8:45-3:45 Th-Fr and 8:45-1:30 Sat
Includes snack, t-shirt, bag, materials/instructor fees, and Saturday family lunch social. (Campers should pack lunch Thur & Fri).
CIT/Counselor Program* (Grades 7-12) $60 3:00-5:00 *Wed orientation meeting & social 8:45-3:45 Th-Fr and 8:45-1:30 Sat
Includes Wed orientation, snack & lunches for Th-Fri, t-shirt, materials/instructor fees, and Saturday family lunch social.
Parent Program $35
9:30-11:30 and 1:15-3:15 Th-Fr and 9:30-11:30 Sat
Singles or couples pay a flat fee of $35 and attend one or up to all five of the parent classes! Drop-in registration on the day of the class is subject to availability so pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Click the link for the class descriptions and times.
VOLUNTEERING AT CAMP
At this time we are in need of the following positions. Please indicate on your registration form which position you are interested in serving in and how many days you can volunteer. Volunteers in the following positions will receive a free camp t-shirt and should indicate a $20 per day discount on the form.
- Saturday Closing Ceremony and Lunch Volunteers prepare for the all-camp closing ceremony and lunch from 10:00AM-11:30AM on Saturday. They set-up chairs, tables, and the buffet line.
- Snack Volunteers organize, coordinate, and deliver daily snacks to the campers every mid-morning. Snacks are kept in the kitchen and are delivered to the campers waiting in their classrooms.
- Lunch & Recess Volunteers supervise camper groups during lunch break and recess breaks by eating with them in their assigned groups, supervising bathroom breaks, and monitoring children on the playground.
REGISTRATION OPEN UNTIL JULY 3. Late Registrations may be accepted on a first-come first serve basis. Late Registrants are not guaranteed a t-shirt, bag, or personalized nametag. There will be no walk-in registrations the days of camp.
