 | Frequently Asked Question #3 Usually, the number of Korean adopted adults (over 18) travelling on the tour is the same as the number of Korean adopted teenagers (over 13) travelling. Occasionally, we have had younger children aged 9 or 10 travel as well, but usually children are at least 12-13 years old. There is a lot of walking on the tour although we do have regular chartered, air-conditioned buses that transport us every day throughout the tour. Occasionally an activity and the subsequent topics of discussion, such as the Birthmothers' Home Visit, may not be appropriate for children under 9. Adopted adults range in age from 18 to 40! Past participants have reported that they appreciated and enjoyed the range of ages of the adopted persons on the tour-each individual at a different stage in his/her adoption journey, and each with a different perspective to share. One of the tour activities for young people is a Teen Buddy Night. This is a night on which Korean young adults (university age and over) take our adopted persons tour participants out for dinner or singing or whatever activity that is agreed upon. For this activity, we divide into to two groups-those over the age of 18 and those under 18. We also have pre-scheduled Adopted Person meetings with CHSFS staff 1-2 times throughout the tour.
