Frequently Asked Question #5 In this situation, the CHSFS Korean Intermediary Services (KIS) worker would review your file with the Korean agency to see if a search would be a possible. In the case that a search is not possible (this may be due to lack of name, social security number available for the birthmother or a case in which the adopted person was found with no identifying information, etc.), there are other intemediary services from which you may wish to choose. These include a visit to the place where you were found, a visit to the clinic/site where you were born, a visit to the branch office of the agency through which you were placed (e.g. Eastern Social Welfare Society), and others. To determine which service you would register for, you would speak about the parameters of your case with your KIS worker.
